Terms

Last updated November 2, 2026

The short version: the code is MIT licensed and comes as is. You bring your own keys and accounts, and you’re responsible for what you make and post with it.

These terms

These terms cover vidfiddle.com, run by Zellerhaus Holding Co. in Phoenix, Arizona (“we”). By using the site you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains what the site collects.

The software is MIT licensed

Vidfiddle’s code is open source under the MIT License. The license, not these terms, decides how you can use, copy, change and share it. As the license says, the software comes “as is”, without any warranty.

Your accounts with other services

Vidfiddle works through services you pick and pay for yourself: OpenAI or Anthropic, ElevenLabs, Creatify, a storage provider, Publer, Postiz or TryPost, and the social networks behind them. You need your own accounts, you pay for what you use, and you follow their rules, including their rules on AI-generated content and automated posting. We don’t run those services and aren’t responsible for what they do, what they charge, or whether they suspend an account.

The costs we quote, like about $0.06 for a 30-second video, come from our own runs at the prices those services charged at the time. Yours will vary.

What you make

We claim no rights in the scripts, videos or posts you make with Vidfiddle. You’re responsible for them: that you have the right to use the posts you turn into videos, that what you publish is accurate and lawful, and that you label AI-made content where a platform or the law asks you to. Vidfiddle holds every video for your approval, so watch it before you approve it.

The showcase

The videos on this site were made with Vidfiddle from public-domain NASA and NOAA articles. Their images, voices and captions are AI-generated and don’t show real people or events. Vidfiddle isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by NASA or NOAA.

Using this site

The site is here to explain Vidfiddle. Don’t attack it, overload it or try to break into it. We may change or take down any part of it at any time.

The Vidfiddle name and logo aren’t covered by the MIT License. You’re welcome to say your project uses or is based on Vidfiddle; don’t use the name or logo in a way that suggests we made or endorse your product.

No warranty, limited liability

The site and the software are provided as is, without warranties of any kind, as far as the law allows. We aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, lost data, charges from other services, or suspended social accounts. If we’re found liable anyway, our total liability is limited to US$100.

Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version, and using the site after a change means you accept it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Arizona, USA. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts in Maricopa County, Arizona.
